We are a registered field agent for an Engineering company to provide Foundation Letters that certify that a Manufactured Home is on a HUD approved Permanent Foundation. These letters are often required by FHA/VA loans when purchasing a manufactured home.
Some Loan Underwriters require that an engineer/field agent certify that "additions" (Decks/roof overhangs) are not structurally bearing on the Manufactured Home.
Often, Loan Underwriters will also request that an engineer/field agent certify that the Manufactured Home has not been moved from its original installed location. Moving a manufactured home repeatedly can have adverse affects on its structural integrity.
